ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtanga yoga practice has completely changed my life. Not feeling comfortable in my own skin was how I lived for years, until the search for meaning began. Practicing Ashtanga, students progress slowly as they memorize and master the sequence of physical positions suggested by this method. Since it is a powerful, dynamic and efficient system, the body and the practitioner are transformed little by little through deep self-knowledge acquired through individual and regular practice.
After the first class, strongly attracted by the loyalty, dedication, determination and discipline of my teacher Mike, I started practicing six times a week and since then it has never stopped. Ashtanga practice leads me from exhaustion, negative thinking and physical pain to connecting with a deep inner source of infinite energy, to finding self-love and to life balance. This journey began as someone who struggled with perfectionism, self-criticism, disordered eating, bouts of anxiety and depression, but after my first meeting with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, six years ago, nothing has been the same.
Practicing asana, breathing and awareness literally saved my life. Through injuries, various emotional states, pregnancy, postpartum period, early motherhood, I was forced to learn how to deconstruct, reconstruct, adapt and modify my practice for various states, circumstances and recoveries. Now it's your turn! The good news is: you can overcome many obstacles simply by breathing, moving and showing up regularly on the mat. It's time to discover and release what's holding you back.
Namaste, Ayla Bee

ashtanga vinyasa Yoga
In January 2015, I took my first yoga class. From that day on until today yoga is an indispensable part of my life, as I hope it will be in my old age too. It was supposed to reverse the effects of sitting in the office, but it did so much more. Perhaps most importantly, it shone light to and torn down my misconceptions. All of a sudden, I realized that you can leave work on time and that we can create the life we want for ourselves.
After two months of practicing a vinyasa style of yoga, I discovered ashtanga, which from 2015 became my main practice. Challenging for both, body and mind, this practice has limitless room for progress. It forces you to confront and fight your fears and allows you to witness progress, which inevitably comes from work, work, work and patience.
In 2018, I joined the running school, hoping to finish a half marathon; which I did, but did also continue running. This activity, much like yoga, has a tendency to crawl under your skin. Shortly thereafter, the idea of yoga for runners, began to creep in. So did with Mike, my teacher, who around the same time organized a workshop for runners. As a natural sequence, yoga class for runners was created. By studying and exploring the needs of runners through my own experience, I got an opportunity to teach this class. (As if yoga and running did not change and enrichen my life enough already.)
In April 2019, I finished my first yin yoga teacher training with Paul Grilley. I also participated and am using every opportunity I can to participate in yoga workshops with renowned teachers around the world. My belief is that learning never stops and with it, progress either.
See you on the mat
